Very soon this will all seem like a dream, and reality will be something completely different.

Costa Rica, travel stories and pictures

Costa Rica, a peaceful and breathtaking country!

Sunset in Playa Jaco, Pacific Ocean, Costa Rica, October 2003
I was in Costa Rica from October 11, until December 27, 2003. I bought a motorcycle and travelled from coast to coast, stopping wherever inspiration dictated. Costa Rica is unrivaled in its natural beauty. The motorcycle is definately the way to travel in this country.

I want to thank all my people in Costa Rica who helped make our experience there so wonderful. Especially my good friend Chely (y familia), Noemy, Juli, and Oscar who always made us feel right at home. If I ever make it back to the USA you are all welcome in my home. Como digamos en espanol, mi casa es su casa.

Thanksgiving Day Story

"The giant green turtle that emerged from the waves spoke to me without words. It delivered to my spirit, wisdom from the sea. Millions of years of evolution have brought the three of us together at this spot."

Cascada Verde- One Volunteer's Experience in a Jungle of Raw Foodists
written by: Catie Pazandak

"The hysterical sobbing of one volunteer, who felt as if she was starving herself, brought the seriousness of the food issue to a head. We worked through the tension and came to compromises as a group, and devised a rotating raw-meal preparation schedule."

"I Caught an Armadillo With my Bare Hands"
written by: Tirian Mink

"At one point we saw the most comical and goofy looking creature bobbing and bouncing down the path at his maximum velocity of about 1 mile per hour. I had no idea what it was but I immediately gave chase and found it as easy to catch as a toddler running away from its mom."
