 The Mysterious Island  Snakebite told me about a big Hollywood movie ?The Mysterious Island,? being
filmed in Khrabi Town, a one-hour boat ride away. He said they were looking for Westerners to be extras and were paying $32
dollars a day. Coincidentally I was going there already because I was meeting some friends
to go rock climbing at a nearby beach called Tonsai . So there was no harm in checking to see if it was true. Turns out it was true and the moment I got to the Guesthouse that was doing
the recruiting the Casting Director called and was in urgent need of a ?stand
in? for the day. For the next week I went back and forth between rock climbing and working in
this movie.  It is a made for TV movie with a budget of 10 million US dollars. It will air on the Hallmark Channel and I will probably be in it for a grand
total of 30 seconds if I?m lucky. I am fighting in the civil war as Union Soldier #4, and then later there is a
close up of me sitting by a fire smoking a cigarette as a prisoner of war. I made about $2.50 an hour! see what happens next...
